No.1 Think Small...

Not all internet users have broadband connection speed. Huge images tend to bog down a website, so make sure that images being used have been correctly saved and reworked so that they are site compliant, and in RGB format.

No.2 Graphic Content

Just because you have an adorable puppy or exotic parrot doesn't mean you should have a picture of it on your website.Rather use images that are content specific to your business, that will enhance your visitors desire to order product from you.Match your website logo if you have one to all your printed matter. This wil lenable visual recognition of your presence in electronic and print media, and associate your market brand with who you are.

No.3 Font Limitations

When choosing fonts for your website design, try by all means to limit your font layout to no more than 3 different styles.Using the same font families is easier to read and follow, and will make your site look clean and crisp. Sticking with basic fonts sometimes is a better choice. The font selection of Verdana, Arial, Helvetica or Avante Garde may sound boring, but readers will find your site easy to follow.

No.1 CMYK not RGB

Color mode must be in CMYK to be a print ready file. If file(s) are submitted using any other color mode, such as RGB or Pantone, the file(s) will be converted to CMYK during preflighting. Conversion from one color standard to another may result in a colors shift or colors dropping out.

No.2 300dpi not 72dpi

Resolution also known as DPI (Dots Per Inch) or PPI (Pixels Per Inch) can be described as the number of dots that fit horizontally and vertically into a one-inch space. Generally, the more dots per inch, the more detail captured and the sharper the resulting image.If your file is not 300 dpi, you can not simply increase a low resolution image to a higher one by increasing the DPI in your imaging program. The printed result will be a blurry image. Almost all graphics used on a website are rendered at 72 dpi for faster loading. The same graphics need to be reworked for print production using industry standard 300 dpi for optimal high quality printing.

No.3 Acceptable Files

We accept print-ready files in any of the following formats: .eps, .jpg, .pdf, .ps, .psd, .tif, ai, cdr.In other words, we accept print-ready files saved from the following design software programs: Adobe Photoshop® CS, Adobe Illustrator® CS, Adobe InDesign® CS, Adobe PageMaker, CorelDraw®.We can also print raster images (.tiff and .jpegs) independent of the application program used to create such designs if they are submitted at high-quality, uncompressed 300 dpi resolution, 8 bit, CMYK color mode. We can not guarantee files created in MS-Word or MS-Publisher will produce high-quality images and text.Please note that if you have an artwork file in any other format (e.g., word document), we encourage you to create a PDF file that can be email to us for file preparation to print.

Don't give up! Learn from mistakes and avoid the pitfalls of getting stuck in the same place.Use every possible resource to promote your new website. Email people, tell friends, join networking platforms, do a targeted mailer to specific areas, use criteria that will generate at least a 3% return on your investment.Offer incentives to clients. Make them want to use your facility instead of "bubba" down the road; first time order discount, free shipping, hand deliver product etc.Look for the weakest link in your competitors and create a niche.
